My recent trip to Pea in the Pod was very depressing, but my recent online trip to More of Me Maternity to view the new Spring 2010 line was very uplifting. I really do love More of Me’s line. It is quite new, quite small, and made up entirely of dresses, but were I looking ahead to enduring a spring/summer pregnancy, I’d buy one of every piece and consider myself just about set for the season. I own both the Maxi Dress and the Boho Chic Dress from last year’s Spring collection, but both pieces were so popular, they are part of the Spring 2010 collection. The Maxi Dress is an absolute must-have. I wore it constantly from the moment it arrived until after the baby made his appearance. I like this maxi dress better than the ubiquitous Olian Maternity Maxi Dress that Angelina Jolie often wore and is now sold by most retailers. It is better quality and I prefer this neckline. It is available here for USD $180.
I blogged here about the Boho Chic dress and I find it hard to say no to More of Me’s white eyelet version for summer. I love eyelet and if you are pregnant for the first time and don’t yet actually have a baby to throw up on your gorgeous white eyelet summer dress, you should indulge. This dress does run big, so if you will not yet be in your third trimester this summer, I would definitely size down. And as this photo conveys, you do need to wear a camisole or a slip underneath this dress, as the neckline is quite low. The Boho Chic dress is available here for USD $180.
My favorite new addition to More of Me’s line for Spring 2010 is the Color Block Kimono Dress, which is not yet available for purchase, but is available for lusting after here. How perfect is this dress for the warmer months? I always love white cotton for the summer, but let’s be honest–if you are nine months pregnant, it might not be your best look. This dress provides minimizing black on the bottom, and flattering white shirt tailoring on top. This dress will be selling for USD $150.
Check out More of Me’s entire Spring 2010 collection here. Jessica Boulanger, the designer, is quite helpful if you have any questions about sizing, etc. Email her at jessica@moreofmematernity.com.
