What are your thoughts on actress Michelle Monaghan’s pregnancy look? That is, a cropped top with a henna tattoo circling one’s protruding belly button? I’m vaguely horrified by it, but I do acknowledge my fashion tastes tend to skew toward the more ladylike, less bohemian. But really, regardless of your fashion leanings, who wants to look at that?
In an effort to help Michelle properly clothe herself in the coming days of her pregnancy, I thought I’d suggest she might consider a few of the lovely maternity blouses French luxury designer Veronique Delachaux has released for fall. They are loose-fitting, elegant, and most importantly, long enough to cover a pregnant woman’s bump, protruding belly button or not. European maternity boutique Emoi-Emoi is carrying a nice selection of the blouses, in solid neutral colors, as well as prints. While the blouses are cut from crepe and silk, they all have elastic incorporated to allow for a bit of stretch.
You can view the entire A/W 2013 collection from Veronique Delachaux in the line’s online boutique, but don’t get over-excited about the sleek, minimalist maternity fashions, the likes of which you rarely see stateside. The Veronique Delachaux online boutique does not yet have an English version, so ordering from the full collection remains impossible for just about all of us. Although, I bet Michelle’s stylist could figure out a way to do it–I wish she would.
