Got Power? Then These Shopping Tips Are For You

October 31, 2012

Online access is spotty at best today, but just in case you do have online access and are feeling like shopping might be a good distraction from Hurricane Sandy’s wrath, I had a few quick shopping tidbits I wanted to share with you.

1.  Bump Brooklyn is continuing to add to its Fragile Collection with five new gorgeous Fragile dresses for sale in the online boutique. Unlike the silk dress PF raved about for last week’s Decadent Monday posting, this dresses are all made from jersey, so the price tags are lower, all around USD $165. The Joan Holloway-esque Bowtie Dress is my favorite of the batch at USD $160. I don’t expect these to remain in stock for long, take advantage while you can.

2. Isabella Oliver is staging a 2-Day Flash Sale iconon all jersey maternity dresses today, offering 30% off today with promotional code “FLASH.” The sale includes work-appropriate dresses, cocktail dresses, maxi dresses, and even a few tunics for casual daywear.

3. Maternity boutique Pickles & Ice Cream has stocked a new batch of Michael Stars’ Maternity Shine Cowlneck Tunics, which are among my favorite maternity staples for winter. This year’s color palette is “dark and stormy,” with dark greens, grays and of course black, all with a hint of shimmer. Treat yourself to a couple of these to make it through the cold winter months, they are always cozy and always flattering with a simple pair of jeans.

I hope to be back up to full blogging speed tomorrow, my thoughts are with everyone impacted by this storm. And, Happy Halloween!

just to say yes yes yes to fragile! I was lucky enough to be in Belgium for my last pregnancy and so I spent some wonderful hours (and lots of euro) in the fragile boutiques. I still wear the clothes I bought – they’re so well-made that they work for post-pregnancy, even post-baby weight-back-to-normal-weight :)
