Keep That Bump Toasty Warm This Winter

September 5, 2012

Winter is coming and you may or may not be planning on purchasing a maternity coat. My record on this topic is clear and oft-repeated–a pregnant woman deserves a coat that fits properly and keeps her warm when she is nurturing anther human being. A coat that doesn’t button is not a good choice, fashionwise or weatherwise.

All debating aside, German designer Bellybutton Maternity’s new Rowena Silver Down Coat for Winter 2012-13 is almost irresistible. And guess what? The sleeves on this hooded jacket zip off and it becomes a hip down maternity vest. The jacket has a drawstring at the bottom, which allows for adjustment as you expand.  I really like maternity wear that utilizes the drawstring at the bottom, as these pieces really do work well for postpartum wear and for wear well beyond pregnancy. They aren’t always the most flattering pieces of maternity wear, but you aren’t really going to find a flattering down maternity coat anyway. Most importantly, this coat is warm. And it has a hood. And this is a coat you will want to wear next winter, when you are svelte again.

With shipping to the US, the Rowena Coat costs approximately USD $238. Order soon, so you can make full use of that chic vest before you need the sleeves.

Hi, love the coat. ita ao hard to find good outerwear for pregnant women!
Would you know if they have a Bellybutton English site? I want to purchase the vest but don’t know how to navigate on their webpage without just guessing. I just want to make sure of the shipping policies and such.
Thanks!
