British maternity designer Tiffany Rose is out with its Autumn/Winter 2012 Lookbook and as usual, the line’s dresses are absolutely to die for. As a diehard fan of this line, I cannot say enough about the superb quality, the well-conceived tailoring, the attention to detail, and the pregnancy-friendly fabrics used in the Tiffany Rose line. The hard part is deciding which dress (or dresses) to buy.
While the line traditionally focuses on bridal dresses and special occasion wear for pregnant women, the new collection is sprinkled with a few more practical day dresses that will fast become pivotal pieces in your maternity wardrobe. The dresses are always fully lined and always intended for wear from the beginning to the end of a pregnancy. They are also all made in the United Kingdom. The Alicia Maternity Dress (USD $185), a knit day dress availabe in storm grey, is the most wearable piece in the new collection, but choosing the blue Mia Dress (USD $200) or the popular Tiffany Rose Colour Block Dress (USD $160) guarantees you’ll be making a daytime fashion statement.
Now, I understand that international shopping seems daunting to many, but with Tiffany Rose in particular, it is a wise strategy. Tiffany Roses dresses are priced slightly above most mainstream American maternity lines, but the quality and design is so far superior, you end up with a much larger “bang for your buck,” so to speak. Before you drop $150 at A Pea in the Pod (a gargantuan mistake, by the way), take a chance on a Tiffany Rose dress. You won’t be disappointed. And of course, if you have a special occasion or a wedding coming up, shopping at Tiffany Rose is a no-brainer.
